Bit Disappointed

Here is the design I have come up with for the invitations, I have only made one so far as I need to see if she likes it first.

I am going to try and come up with a simpler design as I think this one would be to time consuming to make in such a short time.

Sorry about the poor image quality.

I guess I am a little bit out of touch as It is really rough and looks a mess.

About Chuffin Time Hehe

It has been way to long since I posted and I apologise. I have just been so busy moving and starting my new life.

I am now living in St Helens, Merseyside and loving every minute. Unfortunately I still don't have a job though. So if anyone out there knows of any jobs available in St Helens please PLEASE consider me hehe.

I am finally getting to do some crafting as well as I have 30 - 40 invitations to make for a 60th birthday. I had designed the ready to be printed on the computer, but unfortunately I can no longer print them and will be making them by hand.

Here is the design I had originally.

Off to a Good Start

I am now on my second scarf which I started yesterday, this time I am attempting a black and pale mint greent, stripey one. So far it is going well and it is soooooo much easier to knit right handed!!

In answer to Tempewytch's quation, I have about 10 balls of wool that need using up!! Hoping to knit some squares that will be turned into blankets for charity to get it all used up.

Will get round to adding pictures ASAP.

Saturday, 20 June 2009

Woohoo

I have finally finished knitting my first scarf!!! I have also been shown how to knit right handed, which is so much easier, so now I can make scarves for eeryone for Christmas.

Will add pictures soon!!!

An Improvement

Just thought I'd let you all know that I am slowly getting there.

Due to moving from my own little flat into a spare bedroom I am having to get rid of a lot of my stuff.

Last night I went through all my crafting stuff and will be kindly donating a big box of wonderful things to my Aunty Lin who makes beautiful cards.

Whilst going through it all I came across my balls of wool and the scarf I was close to finishing. I put the scarf to one side and carried on sorting out my huge mess on my living room floor.I now have one big box full of crafting items to take with me when I move, so I can hopefully make a start on my mum's birthday present when I am all settled.

Once I could see my floor again, I settled on the sofa and had a go at my knitting, and I am proud to say I remembered how to do it and really enjoyed it.

Fingers crossed the scarf will be finished before I move!

Life Changing Desicion

I have been really quiet lately, not had chance to do any crafting for a long time as I've just not had it in me, which is very unusual for me.

After a lot of thought, I have decided to move to St Helens. I have a lot of amazing family there and now that my dad has taken a job in Saudi, I am pretty much all on my own where I live, due to one thing and another.

I am going to enrol at the college and do an evening photography course, I am looking for a new job, so fingers crossed something comes up. I am extremely lucky that one of my cousin's is letting me become a lodger to also help her out.

I have a really good feeling about it all, although I am scared out of my mind at actually doing it, but my hope is that I will be much happier there, so will start to enjoy all those things I love.

I thought I'd let you all know and to apologise for being so quiet and distant, I plan on being back soon and better than ever, as I still have a long list of crafts I need to complete.

Will keep you all updated on how my job search and move goes.

Losing My Touch

Thought I would share my latest drawing with you all, I know it's not as good as some of my others, but I've just not been in the mood lately.

I am hoping my mood changes and I get back into it soon.

Sorry I've been so quiet

I've just not had the energy or been in the mood lately, which makes me feel even more down. I've missed doing my crafts and hope to be feeling better soon so I can get back to it.

I hope you are all well and doing lots of crafts.

Trip to A&E

So you all know, the reason why i haven't been doing any crafting lately is because I had an accident involving my dad's attic ladder breaking on me while I was right at the top about to switch the light on.

For the past couple of weeks my left arm has been in constant pain so I went to A&E last night to get it checked out. Luckily nothing is broken but I did get told off for not taking regular pain killers or for letting it rest. How they expect me to rest my arm with no sling or anything is beyond me.

This morning I did try to let it rest but I still kept using my arm to lift and carry things. After a walk to the chemist (did try Asda last night) I still could not find a sling, so I have raided the first aid kit at work. I am now sat here feeling a bit of a plonker, trying to type quickly with one hand.

As soon as I am all healed I will get on with my crafts. I did try some knitting the other day but the pain was unbearable. Good news is i have nearly finished my first knitted scarf!!

Bye for now

Lil Miss Tree's Website

I have decided to set up a website to use as a gallery of all my art work and crafts. I will post on my blog still but wanted a place online where I could keep all my files together so that it is easier for people to go through.

It is really empty at the moment as I have only just set it up and I am still in the process of uploading my artwork. If you would like to visit please go to http://lilmisstree.wetpaint.com/.

Many thanks

101 things in 1001 days

I came across THIS thread today and it has inspired me to start my own list. Although I wont be doing it in 1001 days, as some things I wont have full control over, I still thought it would be a great idea to make a list.

My thinking is, it will help me focus on the things I want to do and hopefully give me that little push to get on and do them. Some I can do in the near future some will be in the distant future, but they are all things I have always wanted to do or places I want to go see.

I thought I would share it with you as I know there are a lot of people doing this and I hope many more of you do as well. I also thought it was very fitting for my blog title as they are all mini adventures that will hopefully take me and lead me on to many more.

So here is my list in no particular order:

  1. Do a ceramic Course
  2. Learn a new language
  3. Sell some of my artwork
  4. Set up a website
  5. Buy my own house
  6. Get down to 91/2 stone
  7. Build up my confidence
  8. Get photos organised and into frames
  9. Go to Matlock Bath
  10. Do a photography course
  11. Learn how to cook a curry from scratch
  12. Get back into painting/chalk drawing
  13. Design another tattoo
  14. Get another tattoo
  15. Have a dog
  16. Learn to dance
  17. Learn to sew
  18. Learn more about knitting
  19. Save £1000 by 07.01.2010
  20. De-clutter the flat
  21. Set up my fish tank & buy some fish
  22. Take my nephew on a day trip once a month
  23. Start eating breakfast
  24. Only have a takeaway once a month
  25. Visit New York
  26. Visit Italy
  27. Learn to play the drums
  28. Ride a motorbike
  29. Visit as many Art Galleries as possible
  30. Set up my own business
  31. Learn to belly dance
  32. Do more for charity
  33. Go to A&E to get my arm checked out (done)

I will keep updating the list as I think of more things and would love to know if anyone else joins in.

Marie Curie Cancer Care

http://www.create-a-card-for-cancer-care.org/

I had to post this on here as I think it is such a good cause and so many of us can help by making just a few cards for them to sell.

I know I will be doing some as I need to practise but didn't have a reason to make any. Now I do!!!

I will post pictures of any cards I make and I hope you will all share your cards with us to see.

Hope you can all join in with this good cause, even if you can only make one for them to sell.

Title and Welcome Picture

I have finally finished my two logo/pictures for my blog. I think they work much better than the original one I had done.

As always to prove I have done these myself my original drawing is below.

Look forward to hearing your comments.

Secret Santa Hamper

Lunar from MSE had the brilliant idea of doing an MSE Secret Santa Hamper, but due to MSE rules we aren't allowed to do it on there. So a blog has been made to make it possible, so if you are interested or would like any more information, please visit HERE and let Lunar know if you are interested or have any suggestions.

Today's Doodle Adventure

This is what I have drawn up so far, but not liking how it is turning out so might have to rethink my whole plan, but thought I would share it with you anyway.

Sod's Law

Why is it I have a very, very quiet week at work, then the one day that I didn't get to bed til 1 o'clock this morning, we have a busy day!

I have been up and down like a yoyo and I am absolutely beat, I just want my bed!!
I did how ever sneak in a quick haircut this morning before it got to busy, so I'm feeling much prettier today hehe.

I am currently working on a logo for my blog, I have a bit of an obsession with getting myself a logo, I guess I just like to stamp my name all over my work!

I don't mind the late night this time as it was due to catching up with a friend I hadn't seen in nearly 5 years, while enjoying a chinese that she kindly treated me to. (So much for my diet this week)

I am hoping the rest of the afternoon stays fairly quiet so I can get on with my logo, I have a few ideas but not sure how it will turn out, but of course I will keep you updated.

Might have to treat my self to a chocolate bar as I might need some energy food to keep me going!

Off to the shop I go.........

Doodling at Work

I wanted a picture of a stork and baby girl, but all the ones I found on search engines, I wasn't to keen on, so I decided to draw my own and I thought I would share it with you.

Just to prove that I have drawn it here are my doodles on scrap pieces of paper. (Hence the typing coming through the back)

Stork

Baby

Updated to show you the baby boy one as well.

I have put my logo over it so no one pinches it without permission but if you would like to use it for your crafting then please email me and I will send you it.

Knitting Adventure

Last night I was a bit naughty, I went home from work, sat on my sofa under my blanket and for the rest of the night i watched episodes of 24 that my mum had recorded for me (I don't have sky) and carried on with my knitting.

I am knitting a scarf for my Sister, it's kind of a neon pink (I hate pink, she loves it), but the ball of wool just seems like it's never going to end!

The reason why I was a bit naughty was because I skipped tea! Tell a lie I had one of those new galaxy cookie chocolate bars, oh it was yummy! I also never eat breakfast so right now I am absolutely starving and I think it serves me right!

I blame Jack to be honest, if he wasn't so yummy and 24 wasn't so good I would have eaten something a bit more substantial!

Once I get my camera back I will take a picture of the scarf, as it just doesn't come out right when I use my phone.

Suppose I should find some work to do!

Bye for now x
